5 Great BMW Motorcycles Headed Our Way For 2026

BMW’s motorcycles have always been noted for their elegance, style and ferociousness. The best ones fit you like a tailored suit, and they look great just sitting still. Here are five on their way to dealerships in 2026 - some are tried-and-true, others will surprise you.

BMW M 1000 RR

BMW M RR 1000 BMW

This one’s the pure top-tier superbike—999 cc, inline-four, producing 205 hp at 13,000 rpm and about 83 lb-ft of torque. BMW quotes a top speed of roughly 189 mph, thanks in part to race-inspired aero, including winglets and refined bodywork. The chassis is lightweight, with a cast-aluminum bridge‐type frame with a load-bearing engine, and suspension technologies designed for track performance (fully adjustable forks, etc.). For the U.S., the MSRP is listed at $35,250 plus destination. If you’re after maximum performance and track-day dominance, this is a jewel.

BMW S 1000 RR

he 2026 S 1000 RR is BMW’s razor-edged superbike (but a notch below the M, seen above.) It uses the same 999 cc inline-four architecture, delivering about 205 hp (and 83 lb-ft) in the U.S. BMW highlights updated aerodynamics (trim panels with winglets generating up to 37% more downforce, yielding about 50 lbs of downforce at 186 mph) and a “Quick Action” throttle-twist reduction in travel. The base MSRP is $19,755 plus destination in the U.S. With adjustable riding modes, a generous electronics suite (ABS Pro, Race ABS, etc.) this is a serious machine for someone wanting superbike ferocity on the road or weekend track time.

BMW F 900 GS

The F 900 GS for 2026 uses an 895 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, rated at 105 hp and 68.6 lb-ft of torque. MSRP in the U.S. starts at $14,275 plus destination for the base model. BMW emphasizes the lighter weight, refined power curve, and versatility across every type of terrain - road, gravel and mild off-road. It includes a 6.5” TFT display with smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting, and support for accessories/packages like heated grips, more generous power socket and more.

BMW R 1300 RS

The R 1300 RS is BMW’s 2026 sport-tourer built around a 1,300 cc liquid-cooled boxer twin making 145 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque. The chassis is new, with a steel frame with an aluminum rear section, upside-down 47 mm fork, revised EVO Paralever II rear suspension and component upgrades across the board. It’s ideal for longer rides with high-speed capability and more wind protection and comfort than a pure sportbike.

BMW R 12

This one’s a departure into the “heritage/neo-retro” territory. The 2026 R 12 features a 1,170 cc air/oil-cooled boxer twin rated at 95 hp and 81 lb-ft of torque in the base version. MSRP is $13,145 plus destination for the base model. The styling is all classic - teardrop tank, low seat height (29.7” for the standard version) and a focus more on vibe and character than chasing every spec number. If you want something that looks sharp, has boxer heritage, and doesn’t demand track-weekend commitment, this fits the bill.
