The heart of the FE 501 is a 4-stroke engine weighing just 29.5 kg and producing an impressive 64 hp. This powerplant benefits from advanced engineering techniques to maximize performance, positioned in the frame to optimize the chassis’ anti-squat behavior and centralize mass.

Technical Innovations

The SOHC cylinder head is extremely compact and lightweight, with the camshaft positioned as close as possible to the center of gravity. The aluminum cylinder has a bore of 95 mm and a stroke of 72 mm, housing a forged CP bridged-box type piston with anodized annular grooves for increased durability.

Balanced Chassis and Suspension

The perfectly balanced chassis and WP XACT suspension complement the bike’s exceptional maneuverability. The engine shaft arrangement has been carefully designed to centralize rotating masses at the ideal center of gravity.
